Affortunato Gori

Affortunato Gori (* before 1895 in Florence , Italy ; † 1925 ) was an Italian sculptor .

Life

Gori studied with Augusto Rivalta at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Florence) . After moving to Paris , he studied with the French artist Victorien-Antoine Bastet . He created numerous chryselephantine statuettes in Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles from bronze, marble, ivory and zinc. From 1904 until 1923 he exhibited at the salons of the Société des Artistes Français . His works were in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco style. Gori also used the stage name Fortunato and was active as an artist from 1895 until his death in 1925.
