After One was a German dance project from the early 1990s. The members were named Abi Lin (Abraham Lin), Norbert Kreuzer and S-AUO-N (Martin Gödtke).
The first hit, Tom's Diner Rap , was a cover version . After DNA had already brought a remix of the Suzanne Vega hit Tom's Diner into the charts , After One from Munich also tried this song. The musicians replaced the sung verse with rap lines. The result reached the top 20 of the German single charts .
The second single Real Sadness II was also covered. This time served number one hit Sadeness (Part I) of Enigma as a template. The tried and tested recipe of creating a dance hit by inserting rap passages worked a second time. The title also placed in the top 20 in Germany.
There were no further publications after 1990. After One remained commercially unsuccessful internationally.
