Agito

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Agito , also Giro , was a gold and silver weight in Pegu , which corresponds to an administrative unit in today's Thailand .

The tical measure was 15 ⅜ grams in Pegu and Siam (today: national territory of Thailand, Cambodia , Laos and parts of Malaysia , Myanmar and Vietnam ) 14 3/5 grams. That made the measure of agito different.

  • 1 agito = ¾ pound (Prussian) = 392 ⅞ grams
  • 2 agitos = ½ biza
