Agnes of Saarbrücken

Agnes von Saarbrücken (* around 1115 ; † after 1147 ) was the daughter of Count Friedrich I of Saarbrücken and Duchess of Swabia.

She married Duke Friedrich II of Swabia around 1132/33 . From this second marriage of the Duke, who had been married to Judith Welf , the mother of Emperor Friedrich I Barbarossa , had several children, among them the Landgrave Jutta Claricia of Thuringia and the Count Palatine Konrad bei Rhein .

She was buried together with her husband, who had died before her, in the monastery church of Walbourg . The graves of Friedrich and Agnes no longer exist today.
