Agricultural community of the Allander Urhausowners

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The agricultural community of Allander Urhausbesitzer is a farming interest group in Alland in Lower Austria .

The history of the agricultural community goes back more than 750 years. The basis of the community was a gift from Gertrud von Babenberg , Duchess of Mödling, titular duchess of Austria and Styria, niece of Duke Frederick II of Austria, the last ruler of the Babenberg family in Austria.

The 22-year-old Gertrud (also known as Ducissa Austriae ) married the Margrave Hermann VI in mid-1248 . von Baden , to whom she gave birth to the male heir Friedrich I of Austria in Alland in 1249 . Out of joy at the happy birth, she gave the 30 Allander original home owners extensive grounds, which are the basis of the agricultural community to this day. In addition, it largely exempted them from taxes and duties.

Today the community has 24 members, whose participation is connected with the house ownership (the original house ). Strict statutes ensure that it is passed on to the next generation and avoid fragmentation. She manages a property of about 2.6 km². Two thirds of the members are no longer active in agriculture and receive fruit consumption as monetary value. Individual members of the Urhausowners are involved in the operation of medium-sized wood chip heating systems , e.g. B. for the elementary school in Alland.
