history

Agrola was founded in 1957 under the name AGROL as a trading company for fuels in the Winterthur area . In 1958, AGROL was taken over by the VOLG cooperative and the name was changed to AGROLA. On December 15, 1966, the nine agricultural cooperative associations VOLG, VLG, VLGZ, UCAR, LV, FCA, NWV, GVS and AGRICOLA founded AGROLA AG in Zurich. In 1974 Agrola took over the private mineral oil import company INTERPETROL AG. With the merger of several cooperatives to form fenaco in 1993, Agrola becomes a national brand. Sales via tank shops of the Landi retail chain become a growth engine for Agrola. In May 2019, the first Agrola fast charging station in Switzerland was opened at Landi in Worb .
