Aguas Blancas (white waters) is a hamlet in northwest Argentina . It belongs to the Iruya Department in the Salta Province and is located on the Iruya River , about 10 km northeast of the village of Iruya , 8 km west of the village of Las Higueras , 1.5 km west of the village of Chañar and 3 km north-northwest of the village of Abra de Araguyoc .
