Agum
Agum (mAg-gu-um) was the name of three Kassite kings:
The existence of a third name bearer is not entirely certain.
Landsberger sees Agum, like Kaštiliaš / Kaštil-ašu, as "lead names", pairs of names that are passed on from grandfather to first-born grandson and cites Artatama - Šuttarna ( Mitanni ) and Tudḫaliya -Arnuwanda ( Hittite ) as further examples .
Landsberger derives the name from Elam .
A bukašum Agum is in a letter, perhaps from the time of the ancient Babylonian king Samsu-ILUMA mentioned. An envoy from the king of Halaba, perhaps Aleppo, to the king of Babylon requested an escort in the "Houses of Agum" without success.
