Ahmed Rachedi

Ahmed Rachedi (* 1938 in Tebessa , Algeria ) is an Algerian film director and screenwriter . He made his debut as a director in 1963 with the documentary Peuple en marche . He became known as the producer of the film Z , for which he received an Oscar nomination in 1970 together with co-producer Jacques Perrin . In 1981 he was awarded the Moscow International Film Festival Prize for Ali in Wonderland . In 1993 he and Maurice Failevic received the French Film Prize of the Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels for C'était la guerre .
