Ahmed Shuja Pasha (born March 18, 1952 ) is a Pakistani officer with the rank of lieutenant general and former intelligence chief. He was head of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) secret service from 2008 to March 2012 , then was replaced by Zaheerul Islam . In 2012 Forbes Magazine ranked him 34th on The World's Most Powerful People list as the most powerful military in the world. He has been working as a consultant for the United Arab Emirates since 2013 .
