Ahmet Salih Korur

Ahmet Salih Korur (* 1905 in Istanbul ; † February 8, 1966 ) was a Turkish bureaucrat .

Korur studied law at Ankara University before becoming a civil servant. In 1945 Korur became the deputy director of the land registry of Turkey. At the same time he was the director of the building authority. In 1950 he became State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office. In 1956 he became Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Finance and in 1957 he became Deputy President of the predecessor of the Turkish secret service MIT . In the same year he was again appointed State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office.

According to the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Turkey , Korur was a Freemason . Korur was the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge from 1955 to 1960.

After the military coup of May 27, 1960 , he was sentenced to two years and eleven months in prison in the 1960/61 Yassıada trials .
