Aileswasensee is the name of a swimming lake and local recreation area in Neckartailfingen in the Esslingen district in Baden-Württemberg.

The Aileswasensee is located on the southern outskirts of the municipality of Neckartailfingen.

history

By reducing Neckar gravel lake was created as a quarry pond in the years between 1958 and 1971. He originally had a size of approximately 10 hectares. It was partially refilled so that when it was redesigned as a bathing lake in 1982, there was still around 8.5 hectares of water. In 1984 the lake house was built.

use

Due to its convenient location at the intersection of federal highways 297 and 312, the lake serves as a recreational area and bathing lake for the greater Tübingen and Stuttgart area. The lake house is located directly by the lake and has toilet, shower and changing facilities. There is also a restaurant with a lake terrace.

On the south side of the Aileswasensee there is a shallow water zone with a heaped sandy beach. A demarcated area on the west side of the lake is reserved for nudists.

The lake is located on the edge (but outside) of the protected landscape area 1.16.054 Neckar, Erms and Autmuttal in the administrative area of ​​Neckartenzlingen . Parts of the bank area are protected as biotope and natural monument under the name of woody plants around the Aileswasensee south of Neckartailfingen .
