Joseph Édouard Aimé Doumenc (born November 16, 1880 in Grenoble , † July 21, 1948 at Mont Pelvoux ) was a French general.

Life

In 1927, Doumenc developed the concept of using tanks for rapid advances independently of the infantry.

In the run-up to the German-Soviet non-aggression pact (1939), he and the British General Reginald Drax stayed in the Soviet Union as negotiators for a joint British and French delegation in the summer of 1939.
