Ainley Peak

The Ainley Peak is a distinctive mountain peaks on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises 1240  m high 5 km southwest of Post Office Hill in the east of the island.

The mountain is named after the American ornithologist David George Ainley (* 1946), who studied penguin and sku populations at Cape Crozier and McMurdo Sound in six campaigns from 1969 to 1984 .
