Aislin McGuckin (born 1974 in Newry , County Down , Northern Ireland ) is a British actress .

life and career

Aislin McGuckin was born and raised in Northern Ireland. Her acting training she received at the south-east of London situated Rose Bruford College of Theater & Performance . She is best known in the UK for her role as Dr. Liz Merrick on the TV series Heartbeat . She appeared in a variety of different TV productions and also in movies. In Germany she is best known for her role as Aislin Brady in The American Nephew at Pierce Brosnan's side . She also appears as a stage actress. When she played Lady Anne in the Shakespeare play Richard III. played, she made the acquaintance of its director Aidan McArdle . The two married in June 2004.
