Aisling O'Sullivan (born 1968 in Tralee , County Kerry ) is an Irish actress .

life and career

Aisling O'Sullivan, who was born in the southwest of Ireland in 1968, studied acting at the prestigious Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin . She made her debut in front of the camera in 1995 in the television film Runway One . In the 1997 film The Butcher Boy , she played for the first time in a leading role as the mentally unstable mother of the main character Francie. O'Sullivan's portrayal of Dr.Cathy Costello in the Irish television series The Clinic earned her an award for "Best Actress in a Leading Role" with the Irish Film and Television Award. In 2010 she played the role of Fiona Kelly in the television series Raw . Aisling O'Sullivan also appears as a stage actress. Among other things, she took part in performances by the Druid Theater Company.
