Aké Loba (writer)

Gérard Aké Loba (born August 15, 1927 in Abobo Baoulé , Ivory Coast , † August 3, 2012 in Aix-en-Provence ) was an Ivorian writer.

His most important work, Kocoumbo. A black student in Paris , was awarded the first Grand Prix littéraire de l'Afrique noire in 1961.

Between 1985 and 1990 he was a deputy and mayor of the Abobo municipality in Abidjan.
