Academia Ruchu

Akademia Ruchu is a group of Polish performance artists founded in 1973 by Wojciech Krukowski in Warsaw . Janusz Bałdyga , Jolanta Krukowska, Zbigniew Olkiewicz, Jarosław Żwirblis, Cezary Marczak, Jan Pienia̜żek, Krzysztof Żwirblis are among the members.

The group has realized over six hundred happenings , theater performances, political actions and anonymous interventions in public space.

Akademia Ruchu presents works at theater festivals and in renowned exhibition halls in many European countries, the USA and Japan, including the Institute of Contemporary Arts , London; documenta 8 , Kassel; NRL Live Art , Glasgow; MoMA PS1 , New York; Ludwig Forum for International Art , Aachen; Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions; Museum of Modern Art, Yokohama; Walker Art Center , Minneapolis
