Akgünler
The Akgünler shipping company , based in Kyrenia , operates shipping services between Turkey , Syria and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus . The company has been in the tourism industry since 1978 and has been working with Fergün Shipping under the common name Akfer Sea Transportation since 2003 .
Akgünler owns four passenger catamarans built in Sweden and Norway for a total of 1498 passengers, as well as two RoRo ferries, which were manufactured in Germany and Denmark and can transport 580 passengers.
The ships all have ISM and ISPS certificates and are classified according to the SOLAS rules. The shipping company's head office is in Kyrenia.
The express boats serve the Kyrenia – Taşucu and Kyrenia – Alanya lines between Northern Cyprus and Turkey and the Famagusta – Latakia line between Northern Cyprus and Syria.
The car ferry operates between Kyrenia and Taşucu.
