Akibani (also: Ankibani , Arabic اکیبانی) is a place on the island of Anjouan in the island state of Comoros in the Indian Ocean .
geography
Akibani is located west of Mutsamudu on the north coast of the island. The Hangoué and Mpouzini rivers flow into the sea in the local area and the village extends relatively far inland along the Mpouzini. There are two mosques in town. The neighboring settlements are Mjimandra (O) and Chironkamba to the west. A coastal road in the area, which is heavily traversed by gorges, connects the places.
