Akihiro Endō ( Japanese 遠藤 彰 弘 , Endō Akihiro ; born September 18, 1975 in Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a Japanese football coach and former football player .

career

Endo attended the Kagoshima Commercial High School, which has produced many professional footballers. After graduating from school he was signed by the Yokohama F. Marinos for which he played for 12 years and then ended his playing career in 2007 with Vissel Kobe . Since then he has been the head coach at the Endō-juku Shin- Osaka football school , which belongs to his younger brother Yasuhito Endō .

With the Japanese national team , he qualified for the 1996 Summer Olympics .
