Akihisa Ikeda

Akihisa Ikeda ( Japanese 池田 晃 久 Ikeda Akihisa; born October 25, 1976 in Miyazaki ) is a Japanese mangaka . His best known work is Rosario + Vampire .

Artistic creation

Ikeda's first work was published in 2002 and was named Kiruto and was a four-part fantasy - action series . His most famous work Rosario + Vampire appeared in Gekkan Shōnen Jump , as did Kiruto before . Rosario + Vampire continued as Season II in 2007 with the move to Jump Square magazine . The manga, adapted as an anime and radio play and successfully published in several countries, was also published in German from 2009. After the last, 14th volume of Rosario + Vampire Season II , no more extensive works by Ikeda appeared. In December 2014 the short story Nan Made Nara Koroseru? , which was created in collaboration with author NisiOisin.

Akihisa Ikeda reports that he was a fan of monsters, especially vampires , as a young boy . He also enjoyed reading detective and horror stories and was probably inspired by them.
