Akira Takabe ( Japanese 高 部 聖 Takabe Akira ; born May 9, 1982 in Yamanashi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Takabe learned to play football on the school team of Nirasaki High School and the university team of Tōyō University . He signed his first contract in 2003 with the Tokyo Verdy . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed two top division games. He then played for Rosso Kumamoto and FC Mi-O Biwako Kusatsu . At the end of 2006 he ended his career as a football player.
