Akmal Azman learned to play football at the National Football Academy in Singapore. He signed his first contract with Tampines Rovers in 2019 . He played 17 times in the Singapore Premier League for the Rovers in 2019 . In 2020 he was signed by the Young Lions . The Young Lions are a U23 team that was founded in 2002. U23 national players and perspective players play in the team . They should be given the opportunity to gain match practice in the first division, the Singapore Premier League.
