Aksakowo ( Bulgarian Аксаково ) is a city in northeast Bulgaria , in the municipality of Aksakowo, Varna Oblast . The city is located on the Franga plateau and is 10 kilometers northwest of the port city of Varna . Aksakovo was declared a city on May 27, 2004. The city of Aksakowo was established as a small village in the 17th century.
