Aktaia (daughter of Danaos)
Aktaia ( ancient Greek Ἀκταία Aktaía ) is in Greek mythology a daughter of Danaos , king of Libya , and Pieria . She is therefore one of the Danaids .
At the mass wedding of the 50 daughters of Danaos with the 50 sons of Aegyptus , at which lot decided on the pairing, her Periphas , the son of the Gorgon , was assigned as husband. Like most of her sisters, she killed her husband on their wedding night.
