Manfred Schöttner

Manfred Schöttner is a German basketball official .

Life

Until 2009, Schöttner was also chairman of BBC Bayreuth eV and managing director of BBC Bayreuth Spielbetrieb GmbH, the operator of the Bayreuth professional team . In summer 2009 he gave up the office of chairman, but remained in office as managing director of the operating company. In July 2012, Schöttner was awarded the letter of honor by the city of Bayreuth. At the end of 2012 he resigned from the position of managing director, which he had exercised on a part-time basis. From spring 2014, Schöttner was part of the newly established supervisory board of BBC Bayreuth Spielbetrieb GmbH and later became its chairman.

Schöttner's main job was for the Cherry Group , a manufacturer of computer input devices based in Auerbach . From mid-January 2017 he was the sole managing director of Genui Fifth Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, which had taken over the Cherry Group in November 2016. In May 2018, Schöttner resigned as Managing Director of the Cherry Group, for which he had worked for 39 years and which he had led into independence by breaking away from ZF.
