The Aktiengesellschaft für Filmfabrikation (AFIFA) is a former copier (1921–1956). It was founded on April 20, 1921 and built its technical equipment for film processing with development, editing, copying and showing, in the 1930s also for sound films in Viktoriastraße in the Berlin district of Tempelhof . The company was listed on the stock exchange . The original share capital was 11.8 million marks . The ufaFabrik is located on the site today .

In 1927 the AFIFA was affiliated with the UFA . After the end of the Second World War , the UFA was broken up. AFIFA moved to Wiesbaden in 1949 . There, a riding hall was converted into a film studio on a former riding area (Studio 1), a new hall was built (Studio 2) and a small studio (Studio 3) was built in an intermediate building. In addition, there was a copy facility (head: Alexander Schwerdtner).

Many German feature films were produced in these studios (long-time head of the lighting department: Josef Lehmann). AFIFA also produced films for companies.

After the film company was liquidated by the state in 1956, the film pioneer Karl Schulz, together with the Hessischer Rundfunk, acquired the extensive studio area from the UFA and founded Taunus-Film GmbH there , a network of studio operations and color copiers .
