Action Center (Meteorology)
Centers of action are called high and low pressure areas in meteorology , which often occur over a certain area of the earth's surface and are characteristic of the weather in a larger area. Their frequency and thus the degree of weather influence is subject to seasonal fluctuations.
Action centers typical for Central Europe are the Azores High , Icelandic Low , Mediterranean Low and continental Russia high , outside Europe for example the Aleutian Low .
