Al-Fula ( Arabic الفولة, DMG al-Fūla , alternative spelling El Fula (also al-Fulah )) is the capital of the state of Gharb Kurdufan in Sudan .

location

The city is located in the south of Sudan, around 600 kilometers southwest of Khartoum on the western foothills of the Nuba Mountains , around 70 kilometers northwest of Babanusa . Al-Fula is a train station about halfway between Kosti in the east and Nyala in the west. In addition to the cities mentioned, a road leads to Wau in the south and to El Obeid in the northeast.
