Al-Humaydi

Abu-Abd-Al·lah Muhàmmad ibn Abi-Nasr Futuh ibn Abd-Al·lah ibn Futuh ibn Humayd ibn Yassil , better known as al-Humaydi ( Catalan Al-Humaydí , born around 1029 in Mallorca ; died 1095 in Baghdad ), was a Mallorcan sage of the Yemeni tribe of Azd . Humaydi's family originally came from a suburb of Cordoba . He studied theology and was one of the most admired scholars of his time. Humaydi was famous for his biography of the prominence of Islamic Spain.
