Al-Wigh ( Arabic الويغ, DMG al-TIG ) is a small oasis in the desert Sahara with an airfield and an army outpost in the region Fezzan in southwest Libya .
The place is located about 975 km south of the state capital Tripoli .
On the south-eastern edge of the al-Wigh oasis there is a small airport that is mainly used for military purposes.
