Aladin (UNESCO)

The A dult L e A rning D ocumentation and I nformation N etwork (ALADIN) arose in 1997 from a workshop at CONFINTEA V (Fifth International Conference on Adult Education), the adult education conference of UNESCO in Hamburg . The aim of the network is to promote cooperation and communication between currently almost 100 documentation centers for adult education in almost 50 countries worldwide.

ALADIN is a project of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning ( UIL ), which, with mandate from UNESCO, CONFINTEA V and the UIL Governing Board, coordinates various activities through the Head of Documentation Lisa Krolak in Hamburg in close cooperation with the international ALADIN Task Force .
