Tomáš Mičola (born September 26, 1988 in Opava , Czechoslovakia , now the Czech Republic ) is a Czech football player . The striker currently plays for Slavia Prague .

Club career

Tomáš Mičola started playing football at SFC Opava . At the age of 15, the striker moved to FC Baník Ostrava . There he made the leap into the first team for the 2006/07 season .

Mičola, who is also used in attacking midfield, made his debut in the Gambrinus League on the first day of the match . During the season he came on 22 missions. Mičola scored his first league goal on October 29, 2006 in a 1-1 draw against FK Jablonec , and a week later against FK Mladá Boleslav he had a second goal. As a result, he was used more and more, so he came in the 2007/08 season on 23 appearances, in 2008/09 on 25 appearances and in the 2009/10 season he was in 27 of 30 possible games on the field, and each Time from the start. After two goals in his first season, Mičola scored three goals in the 2007/08 season, five in the following season and seven in the 2009/10 season.

Tomáš Mičola has played for the Czech national teams U16, U17, U18 and U20 so far. With the U20 national team he took part in the Junior World Cup in Canada in 2007 and became vice world champion with the Czech selection. From 2007 to 2009 Mičola was used twice in the Czech U-21 national team .
