Mario Lička (born April 30, 1982 in Ostrava , Czechoslovakia , now the Czech Republic ) is a Czech football player who has been under contract with Termalica Bruk-Bet Nieciecza in Poland since summer 2015 .
Club career
In his youth, Mario Lička played for the clubs FC Grenoble , Berchem Sport Antwerp , Calais RUFC and FC Grande-Synthe due to the stints of his father Verner Lička .
When his father returned to Ostrava in 1991 , Mario Lička moved to FC Baník Ostrava . From the 2002/03 season, Lička played in the first team. After 65 games and twelve goals, the midfielder moved to the Italian first division club AS Livorno in early 2005 . There he only played four games and returned to Ostrava. There coach Jozef Jarabinský sent him to the B team, whereupon Lička went to 1. FC Slovácko . After a successful season he moved to Southampton FC .
In July 2008 Lička returned to FC Baník Ostrava. At his former club Lička was a regular player and took on a leadership role. In 58 of 60 possible league games, the midfielder scored 13 goals. In the summer break 2010 Lička moved together with his teammate Tomáš Mičola to the French first division promoted Stade Brest . With this, the Czech returned to the country where he took his first steps in football. In the summer of 2014 he moved to France for FC Istres . A year later he joined the Polish first division club Termalica Bruk-Bet Nieciecza .
National team
Mario Lička played 16 times for the Czech U-21 team and scored two goals. In November 2009 Lička was appointed to the squad of the Czech national team for the tournament in the United Arab Emirates . Lička played 78 minutes against the hosts, while the Czech Republic lost 3-2 on penalties. In the game for third place, which the Czechs lost 2-0 to Azerbaijan , Lička was on the pitch for the full time.

Mario Lička's brother Marcel Lička is also a professional footballer.
