Alain Bouffard

Alain Bouffard (born September 24, 1939 in Nantes ) is a former French helmsman in rowing .

The 1.65 m tall Bouffard started for the CA Nantes . At the 1960 Olympic Games , Bouffard drove the French eighth , which finished fourth behind the Germany eighth , the Canadians and the Czechoslovaks. At the European Championships in 1961 , the Italian eighth won the German boat, Bouffard won the bronze medal with the French large boat. The first world championships were held in Lucerne in 1962 . The four with a helmsman in the line-up of Jean Ledoux , Émile Clerc , André Sloth , Pierre Maddaloni and Alain Bouffard received the silver medal behind the German four. In addition to the four, Bouffard also drove the eight and received the bronze medal in this boat class. Bouffard continued his career up to the Olympic Games in 1964 , in Tokyo he finished seventh with eighth.
