Alain Francis Gustave Ilboudo

Alain Francis Gustave Ilboudo (born September 19, 1958 in Ouagadougou ) is a diplomat of the Republic of Burkina Faso .

He is married to Hélène Toye Ilboudo and has three children.

Education

Ilboudo received his Masters degree in Modern Literature from the University of Ouagadougou in 1983 . From October 1985 to July 1986 he did a diplomatic internship at the Institute for International Relations of Cameroon, where he received a certificate from IRIC.

From April to May 1986 he completed an advanced course in diplomatic services for members of African countries (Yaoundé, West Berlin, Bonn, Brussels).

Professional background

From March 1984 to January 1988 he was Legation Councilor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From February 1988 to July 1992 he was First Class Counselor in Brussels. From February to June 1993 he headed the planning department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From January 1995 to September 1997 he headed the political department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From September 1997 to September 1999 he was a technical advisor to the Foreign Minister. From September 1999 to June 2001, he was Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Copenhagen (Kingdom of Denmark). From October 2001 to October 2005 he was Counselor in Paris . From January 2006 to July 2011 he was Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From July 2011 to November 9, 2017 he was ambassador to Brazil and was accredited to the governments of Bolivia , Chile , Colombia , Ecuador , Paraguay , June 18, 2014: Peru , Uruguay and Venezuela .

On November 9, 2017, he submitted his credentials to François Hollande . On November 16, 2017, he presented his credentials to the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa .
