Alan Arnell (born November 25, 1933 in Chichester , † May 5, 2013 ibid) was an English football player .
Life
Alan Arnell, born in Chichester, Sussex , in 1933, began his career in Worthington with an amateur club. In 1953, at the age of 19, he moved to Liverpool , for which he made his debut in December 1953. With the then second division Arnell played until February 1961. Although he was only temporarily nominated for the first team of the Reds and often played in the reserve team, he brought it to 33 goals in 69 league games. In 1961 he moved to Tranmere Rovers .
After moving to the third division Tranmere, with whom he was relegated to the fourth division, Arnell still played for Halifax Town and FC Runcorn .
