Alan Barillaro (* 1975 or 1976 ) is a Canadian animator and Oscar winner for directing the film Piper .

Career

Barillo was born in Canada, raised in Chippawa, and attended high school in Markham , Ontario . In 1996 he graduated from Sheridan College . Barillaro has been with Pixar since he was 18 .

His career in the film business began as an animator in 1998 with the film Das große Krabbeln . Films like Die Monster AG , Finding Nemo , The Incredibles , WALL · E - The Last One Cleans Up the Earth , Merida - Legend of the Highlands and The Monster Uni , which won the Oscars in various categories, including " Best Animated Feature Film ”, received a nomination and awards.

For the short film Piper , for which Barillaro wrote the screenplay and made his directorial debut , he and Marc Sondheimer received an Oscar in the category “ Best Animated Short Film ” at the 2017 Academy Awards .
