Gawayn is a Franco-Italian animated series that was produced between 2009 and 2012 .

action

The Princess Gwendolyn cannot ascend the throne that is due to her because she was charmed down by a jealous duke. She goes in search of the "Gawayn Crystal" with which she can break the spell. They are accompanied by the knight Sir Roderick and three children: Elspeth, the budding sorceress, William, a clever and intelligent boy and Xiao Long, who sees himself as a Chinese specialist in meditation , cooking and martial arts . They experience many adventures together and become friends. The Duke wants to prevent the princess from growing up again and does everything in his power to stop her on her way with his companion, the cockroach Rex.

Production and publication

The series was between 2009 and 2012 by Alphanim and Mondo TV under the direction of Luc Vinciguerra and the script produced by Richie Conroy in France and Italy. This resulted in 2 seasons with 104 episodes, although only the first season was broadcast in German. The music comes from Hans Helewaut.

The German premiere took place on 17 August 2009 to KI.KA instead. Further repetitions were made on Das Erste .
