Alan Pover

Alan John Pover CMG (born December 16, 1933 ) is a British diplomat .

Life

Alan Pover was sent to the West African Gambia by the Major Government in 1991 as British High Commissioner , replacing Alec Ibbott . His term of office in Gambia ended in 1993, and he was succeeded by Michael J. Hardie in Gambia .

family

Alan Pover is the son of John Pover and Anne (nee Hession). He married Doreen Elizabeth Dawson in 1964. From this marriage came a son and two daughters.
