Alec Ibbott

Alec Ibbott CBE (born October 14, 1930 ) is a British diplomat .

Life

As British Ambassador Alec Ibbott was in 1985 by the government Thatcher in the West African Liberia been dispatched, he broke Dougal G. Reid from. His tenure in Liberia ended in 1987 and was succeeded by Michael EJ Gore . He was posted to the West African Gambia in 1988 as British High Commissioner , replacing John Donald Garner . His tenure in Gambia ended in 1990 and was succeeded by Alan Pover .

family

Alec Ibbott married Margaret Elizabeth Brown in 1964. From this marriage came a son and a daughter.
