Alexandru Alexandrini

Alexandru Alexandrini (born May 2, 1902 in Botoşani , Romania , † 1981 ), also incorrectly Alexandru Alexandrescu , was a liberal Romanian politician and his country's finance minister until 1947.

Alexandru Alexandrini studied law and then worked as a lawyer. Then he joined the National Liberal Party (Partidul Național Liberal) and was elected in 1933 as a member of Parliament for Severin . In the same year he became secretary or head of cabinet to Prime Minister Ion Duca , who, however, was murdered in December 1933. Alexandrini remained deputy henceforth of Dinu Brătianu out party until 1937. After the revolution of August 23, 1944 entered the Alexandrini of ex-Premier Gheorghe Tătărescu newly founded National-Liberal Party - Tătărescu (Partidul Național Liberal - Tătărescu) at, became a member of the party executive committee and was re-elected to parliament in November 1946.

Together with Tătărescu, Alexandrini joined the communist-led coalition government under Petru Groza and was first State Secretary from August 1945 to November 1946 , then from December 1946 to November 1947 Romanian Minister of Finance. When Tătărescu, who had opposed the increasing communist transformation, was forced to resign by parliament in November 1947, Alexandrini and the other national liberal ministers and state secretaries also resigned.
