Michael Hardie

Michael John Hardie OBE ( July 14, 1938 - May 29, 2008 ) was a British diplomat .

Life

Michael Hardie was dispatched to the West African Gambia by the Major Government in 1994 as British High Commissioner , replacing Alan J. Pover . His term of office in Gambia ended in 1995, his successor in Gambia was John Wilde .

family

Michael Hardie is the son of John Thomas Hardie and Annie Smethurst. He married Patricia Louisa Hulme in 1967, this marriage was dissolved in 1986. From this marriage came a son and a daughter. Hardie married a second time in 1990.
