Alastair Mackenzie

Alastair Mackenzie (* 1970 in Trinafour near Perth , Scotland ) is a British actor and screenwriter .

Life

Mackenzie made an early decision to become an actor and moved to London at 18. He starred in several plays and feature films, such as the BBC drama Monarch of the Glen . His older brother David Mackenzie , who became a director , cast him in 1997 in his award-winning short film California Sunshine , in which Alistair played a petty dealer. He co-wrote the script for the feature film The Last Great Wilderness (2002) and also played a role.

Alastair Mackenzie lives in Islington . He is married to Scottish actress Susan Vidler and has one daughter. He and his brother run the film production company Sigma Films .
