Alberbury Castle

Alberbury Castle is a ruined castle in the village of Alberbury , about 15 km northwest of Shrewsbury in the English county of Shropshire , on the border with Wales . English Heritage has listed it as a Grade II Historic Building.

The origins of the castle are not certain, but it is dated to the 13th century. Fulk FitzWarin had it built. Today only the ruins of the tower remain.

The castle ruins are currently not open to the public because they are on private property.
