Albert Borowitz
Albert Borowitz (born June 27, 1930 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American collector, historian and author.
Life
Even his father David Borowitz († 1988), who founded the Bradley Manufacturing Co. lamp factory in 1929 , was a book collector. When Albert was 12 years old, his father bought him the complete Sherlock Holmes edition of Arthur Conan Doyle . Borowitz attended Milton Academy and received his Masters and JD from Harvard University . In 1950 he married the art historian Helen Osterman, with whom he has three children. In 1981 he won the Cleveland Arts Prize for Literature . Later he was also nominated for other prizes. From 1983 to 1997 he was a partner in the law firm Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue .
