Tranekær Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Langeland in the Great Belt in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Langelands Nørre Herred in what was then Svendborg Amt , then to Tranekær Municipality in Fyns Amt , which was merged into Langeland Municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

Tranekær was from 1200 to 1645 a fief of the Danish crown, with which 1241-1375 the dukes of Schleswig were enfeoffed, from 1524 the Reichsmarschall Otte Krumpen, 1618-1621 the Norwegian governor Enevold Kruse , from 1645 the Schleswig-Holstein governor Count Christian to Rantzau .
