Rudkøbing Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Langeland in the Great Belt in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Langelands Nørre Herred in what was then Svendborg Office , then to Rudkøbing Municipality in Fyns Office , which was merged into Langeland Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

Of the 4565 inhabitants of Rudkøbing, 4016 live in the parish of the same name (as of January 1, 2020).

Rudkøbing Kirke is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Simmerbølle Sogn in the north and Skrøbelev Sogn in the south-east .
