Albert Gereon Stein

Albert Gereon Stein (born September 29, 1809 in Cologne ; † June 10, 1881 there ) was a German Catholic church musician and priest .

Life

After successfully completing his studies, Stone received on 16 April 1833, Cologne Cathedral , the ordination by the archbishop of Cologne Ferdinand August von Spiegel .

Following this, Stein was sent to the parish of St. Johann (Cologne) as a pastor . At the same time, Stein worked as a music teacher - mostly responsible for singing training - at the Cologne seminary . He later moved to the parish of St. Ursula , also in Cologne , as a pastor .

Stein died at the age of 72 on June 10, 1881 in his hometown of Cologne, where he also found his final resting place.
